Anemic return with the astounding rock document, ‘The Void’ in April 2007; an album that will
cement their reputation as one of the UK’s most promising hard rock bands.
“We’re trying to bring back that old rock n’ roll attitude that we miss in music today.” states
Anemic’s Anglo-American guitarist, Daniel Peters. “We’re not saying you need to act like a dick;
just have balls.” Anemic have balls.
Having formed in LA in 1999, the band relocated back to the Peters brothers’ birthplace, Bristol
when they signed to Sugarshack Records. Losing some of their members along the way, the band
persevered. With a new and invigorated line-up started what would become a gargantuan amount of
hard graft; relentless touring and the release of no less than four albums in four years.
Over the years the band have honed not only their live show to a tight, dark and mesmerizing
hard rock circus, but developed a brand new retro sound that both harks back to the glory days
of the late 80s and early 90s, but looks forward to a time when generic screamo bands will have
been exposed as the emperor’s new clothes they are. If you want a hard-working band with balls of steel, who play great rock n’ roll with all the
conviction of four religious zealots on MDMA, then look no further…
ANEMIC hit the road on their headline tour in Jan/Feb 2007 and should be heading over to Germany
in April as tour support to Across Five Aprils.
