Action
Potential
NEW ALBUM RELEASED 20th MARCH 2006
Anglo-Welsh rockers Left Side Brain return with their bruising and belligerent second album, 'Action Potential'.
This is the follow-up to the band's critically-acclaimed 2004 debut, 'Equal and Opposite', to which:
Kerrang! awarded "KKKK... The kind of band that gives you hope for the UK underground scene".
Metal Hammer called it "Superb...8/10".
Big Cheese awarded a 4/5 rating.
Singles 'Fallout' and 'Clout' were lifted from 'Equal and Opposite', both garnering national radio play (including Radio 1), the videos of which were playlisted on Kerrang! TV and Scuzz.
Aided once again by producer Neal Calderwood (The Answer, The Mascara Story, Fighting With Wire, Throat plus Therapy?’s Andy Cairns & Clutch’s Neil Fallon), 'Action Potential' provides the truest representation yet of LSB's carniverously cavernous live sound. Mr. Calderwood is a man that understands the word 'LOUD', as does Reuben mainman Jamie Lenman, who contributes his inimitable guest vocals on 'Save Yourself' (track 7).
Eschewing dreary Emo populism and the revival of spindly Brit fashion-rock, LSB's philosophy has always been to serve up the kind of riotous riff and melody bombardment that leaves you reeling, regardless of whether or not you're sporting the latest black fringe. Echoing the punch and the principles of Kerbdog or Helmet in their prime, 'Action Potential' furthers this simple, inclusive manifesto.
'Action Potential' will be preceded by a single, 'Exit Route', released in early March. The band will be touring extensively throughout 2006, hammering UK venues into submission with their Real Rock Deal.
