It can be difficult packaging up 20 years of music history into a memorable souvenir but somehow Laid Blak have achieved the impossible! To commemorate 20 years of one of the UKs most loved reggae bands, Laid Blak mark the occasion by releasing the Live recording of their 20 Year Anniversary gig live, available both on audio CD and DVD.
On the 22nd October 2022, to a packed out venue the legendary Fleece in Bristol, Laid Blak held a one off celebratory performance to commemorate 20 years of the bands existence. An unforgettable night that included acoustic renditions of band classics ‘Lava’, ‘Woah’ and ‘A Little Bit of This’.
The show opened with the return of the original song writer and guitarist James Barlow and ended with a very emotional surprise guest performance from original front man Flex (and yes with quilt and all!)
The band ended the year with news of yet another award-winning album, ‘The Vaults’ having been voted by the people as album of the year within the Reggae Fraternity UK, so fitting that tracks from this great piece of work will now be available to view and hear performed live on stage.
Original member Bunjy, the band producer said ‘We worked hard to make sure this recording is of the highest quality, that it does the live performance justice and that it is deserved of being our 20 year souvenir to our fans and boy are we stoked with the outcome!”
